Since taking over as Rockwool UK’s Managing Director on May 1 2007, Hans Schreuder has presided over one of the UK building materials industry’s biggest announcements of recent months.
The unveiling of a €100 million investment by the Rockwool Group in the Bridgend plant, doubling capacity, underlines the Group commitment to its UK manufacturing base under Schreuder’s new leadership.
Schreuder stated: "Rockwool has seen a healthy and sustained growth in UK sales and profits during the past five years, driven by its sound financial performance. The phenomenal increase in demand for Rockwool’s products and services has been gained in a climate where other manufacturers have struggled to meet growing legislative pressures. The fire and thermal performance of insulation provide a complete solution which leaves the rest of the market behind."
Schreuder has been with the Rockwool Group for nine years, first working in Holland, and then as Managing Director for Rockwool in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Sweden, as well as Director of Franchises at Builddesk International, Rockwool’s European-wide Energy Software and Consultancy services offering.
