Vistry Wins Reserved Matters Approval For 219 Homes

Construction News Image

Vistry has obtained Reserved Matters approvals for two schemes in Cambridgeshire and Milton Keynes, advancing delivery of 219 mixed-tenure homes and marking important milestones for its Northern Home Counties region's plans to create sustainable, long-term communities.

In South Cambridgeshire, approval at Cambourne West paves the way for 156 new homes to be delivered as 100% affordable housing, forming an accessible, sustainable neighbourhood. The decision was issued just 13 weeks after submission and less than six months after the site was acquired, following three rounds of positive pre-application engagement with the local planning authority and partners.

At Salden Place (Parcel 2C) in Milton Keynes, the company also secured consent for 63 private and affordable homes — its first parcel within the wider strategic site. Determination came 15 weeks after submission and within six months of acquisition, reflecting the benefits of early, collaborative work with the planning authority and partners.

Together, the approvals represent significant progress across both strategic locations, underline Vistry's capability in bringing forward complex sites, and support its commitment to high-quality, sustainable homes across the region.

Nic Chapman, Managing Director of Vistry Northern Home Counties, said: "Securing two Reserved Matters approvals within such a short timeframe is a strong testament to the collaborative approach taken by our team and our partners. Early and constructive engagement with the local planning authorities has been key to maintaining momentum and achieving timely decisions, allowing us to continue to provide the mix of homes that local residents need."
