Residents are being invited to have their say on proposals for the tenth and final phase of the Saltram Meadow development in Plymstock.
Persimmon Homes Cornwall & West Devon is seeking planning permission for around 200 new homes on the site’s eastern edge. The area already benefits from outline consent establishing the principle of development.
Phase 10 also features public open space, landscaping and active travel links to the proposed country park immediately to the north and to Billacombe Green, which is also under consideration.
The plans include pedestrian, cycle and bus connections to Morley Meadow Primary School – which Persimmon delivered – and to a proposed market square intended to complete the scheme.
Aldi is awaiting a decision on its application to open a store at Saltram Meadow as part of the wider amenities. Both Persimmon and the supermarket held a similar public engagement earlier this year.
A consultation event will take place at the Charles Church sales office (Encombe Street, PL9 7GH) – Persimmon’s sister company, which has an outlet on site, The Avenue – on Wednesday 8 July, between 3:30pm and 7:30pm.
Commenting, a Persimmon spokesperson said: "After being years in the making, Saltram Meadow is approaching one of its final hurdles in turning vision to reality.
"We are delighted to present our plans for the tenth and final phase of the site which will give a complete view of what to expect once construction has finished.
"Alongside the other proposals targeting approval that make up the amenities and placemaking pillars of the masterplan, Persimmon believes Saltram Meadow provides not just somewhere in which to live but a community in which to thrive."
