Riddings Community Hub is set to undergo a major refurbishment programme aimed at upgrading key facilities and securing the long-term future of the popular leisure centre.
North Lincolnshire Council will invest in significant improvements to the site, including a refurbished swimming pool, upgraded changing rooms, and essential roof and structural works.
The project is intended to enhance the experience for thousands of residents who use the hub each year, while also ensuring the facility remains fit for purpose in the long term.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: "Riddings is an important community hub and this investment demonstrates our commitment to protecting and improving the facilities that residents value.
"We've invested significantly in leisure across North Lincolnshire over recent years because we know these facilities play an important role in helping people live healthier, more active lives.
"This refurbishment will ensure Riddings continues to serve families for many years to come."
To enable the works to be carried out safely, parts of the hub will close temporarily while contractors complete the refurbishment programme. The council said the closure has been carefully planned, including arrangements to safely drain the swimming pool ahead of repair work.
The swimming pool will close on 17 July. The gym, library and other hub services will remain open for a further six weeks, although the library will be temporarily relocated to ensure continued access during the renovation period.
The refurbished facility is scheduled to reopen in February.
