Kier Property has officially commenced demolition works at its Michigan Drive site in Milton Keynes, preparing for the construction of a state-of-the-art industrial facility.

The six-acre site, acquired from BL Balmoral Limited in July 2022, previously housed a 66,493 sq ft warehouse and an adjacent office block.

Following planning approval in June 2024, Kier Property is set to build a 125,647 sq ft industrial facility designed to meet Net Carbon Zero standards. The development aims to achieve the prestigious BREEAM Excellent certification, demonstrating a commitment to environmental and operational sustainability.

Located just 1.9 miles from Junction 14 of the M1 motorway and close to the A5, the site benefits from excellent transport links, positioning it within the highly sought-after 'golden triangle' logistics hub. This prime location provides easy access to the UK’s national motorway network, making it ideal for businesses requiring efficient distribution across the country.

The new facility will feature a green roof, high-efficiency LED lighting, 12-metre clear height roof span, 14 dock loading doors, and PV cells. In addition, 12,787 sq ft of modern office space will be incorporated into the design, providing a balanced environment that supports both industrial operations and office functions.
