Heidelberg Materials has announced that it has acquired B&A Group, one of the leading construction soil and aggregate recycling companies in south west England.

The Bristol-based company, which employs a team of 70, specialises in supplying recycled and primary aggregates, as well as site clearance, earthworks, land remediation and sustainable land regeneration. In 2023, it had its most successful year to date, with a turnover exceeding £50 million and a pre-tax profit of £9.1 million.


The acquisition of B&A Group is another example of our commitment to reaching net zero by conserving natural materials and promoting the circular economy by recycling, reusing and reducing the use of primary raw materials.

CEO Simon Willis said: "B&A Group is a successful business with an unrivalled reputation in the south west, underpinned by a strong team. This announcement follows the completion of our acquisition of Mick George Limited and adds an additional source of high-quality recycled materials for use in our sustainable building materials.
