Environmental considerations were paramount when Ikea built a new 32,000m2 furniture house in Springvale, Australia. FabricAir dispersion systems were a natural choice because the technology enables savings of up to 40% on energy consumption.

The Swedish furniture giant wanted aesthetic design, draft-free comfort and even air distribution during both the summer and winter seasons.

This was achieved via a fabric air dispersion solution, which, in addition to the energy savings, also contributed to significant savings on installation and maintenance. The result was a healthy and comfortable indoor environment.


Utilising the full flexibility of the technology, the solution is designed in intricate interplay with the lighting fixtures, cables and wiring, as well as fire extinguishing systems and other ceiling mounted equipment.
