Three construction firms have scooped a 'major' highways infrastructure development framework.

BAM Nuttall, Carillion and Skanska were appointed by Hampshire County Council.

The Generation 3 framework will cover projects valued between £8 million to £25 million and can be used by over 40 local authorities spanning an area from Devon to Kent.

This is one of three frameworks planned for the region and covers large-scale civil engineering and highways infrastructure work over the next four years.
