United House has won a contract for the design and build of 63 new homes in Hammersmith Grove, London, for housing provider Notting Hill Housing Group.

The £10 million contract includes the demolition of an existing mixed use building and the creation of a six storey building in its place, providing a total of 45 homes for private sale and 18 for shared ownership. The scheme, designed by Hunters Architects, will also comprise 70 sq metres of commercial space, basement car parking for 51 cars and secure bicycle storage.


United House will work closely with UK Power Networks to decommission an existing substation on the site. Work is anticipated to start on site before Christmas and is due for completion in 2015.

Located on the corner of Hammersmith Grove and Goldhawk Road, the site sits adjacent to the Hammersmith Grove Conservation Area and its redevelopment fits in with Hammersmith and Fulham Council’s 20 year vision to revitalise key parts of the borough.
