Following requests from their users Mardak has developed sophisticated Excel Automation to compliment their Mardak Construction Accounts (MCA) system. Benefits of Excel Automation include advanced reporting - reports can combine data from multiple MCA sources, for example, Nominal and Contract Ledgers.
MCA specific formulas have been created although there is no limit to the functionality and the formulas which can be applied to the data within Excel.
A spreadsheet can be set up with formulas and saved. When the spreadsheet is reopened or refreshed it will update the data being displayed with any changes that have been made within the MCA system.
Automation can be used to access data in the Cost Ledger and Nominal Ledger as well as any other static data held elsewhere in the MCA system. Excel automatically refreshes the data if any changes are made to the spreadsheet e.g. if you change the period in the spreadsheet to which the cells refer, it will automatically change the period of data which is being displayed.
Users are required to enter their username and password for Excel to verify security and access levels of the user. However, the excel automation does not use an MCA licence.
