Businesses looking for smart, modern premises in Newcastle city centre have more choices than before after Network Rail completed work on two schemes.

Network Rail, through its property arm Spacia, has invested £1.8m developing two sites around Central Station, offering commercial premises of varying sizes.

The One Central Parkway scheme completed in July this year offers 10,000 square feet of office space. This has seen the complete refurbishment of the Grade II listed office to include all the facilities expected of modern office space.

The Forth Street railway arches provides commercial space in 14 units ranging in size from 320 - 1,330 sq ft - which have planning consent for office, retail, café bar and leisure uses.

Mick Martin, Director of Commercial Property for Network Rail said: "The investment to revamp these buildings into a modern commercial space will benefit businesses in Newcastle who can take advantage of this exciting development. Also, the proceeds from this scheme will fund improvements to the railway, so this is a win-win situation."
