Developer Crest Nicholson is helping pupils from a Bramcote school to gain solid foundations in the construction industry.
More than 30 children, aged between 12 and 14, from Alderman White School and Language College took a break from the classroom to learn all about housebuilding at Bramcote Park.
They visited the collection of two, three, four and five bedroom homes to undertake a site tour and study the different stages of building a home – from foundations to completion.
Five members of the group will go on to undertake a construction course next year organised by the school.
Matthew Pitts, Executive Deputy Head, said: "We aim to provide opportunities for our pupils to engage with all aspects of their learning and the visit enabled our students to gain a hands on experience.
"Collaboration is vital to the success of our school and we are grateful for the opportunity provided by Crest Nicholson."
Crest Nicholson's site manager at Bramcote Park, Ian Smith and construction manager Chris Pointon gave a tour of the site for the pupils, who then undertook a building quiz.
