Church Farm Museum in Skegness has secured a Project Planning Grant of £22,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for the production of plans for conservation, access and audience development at the site.

Executive Councillor for Economic Development, Cllr Eddy Poll, said: "This grant is a first step in enabling the Church Farm site to develop into a major attraction for Lincolnshire's East Coast. The Museum has some outstanding collections with great stories to tell and the plans build on previous work that has highlighted the need to make the connections between our modern audience and the countryside."


The plans that will be produced will be a significant step forward towards making the museum more accessible.

Work on the plans will be carried out throughout summer 2008 in order to allow large scale grant funding to be applied for later in the year.
