A property developer has been ordered to pay £500 for fraudulently obtaining a resident's parking permit in Kensington and Chelsea.
West London Magistrates heard that Steven Aldridge was caught after a two-month long investigation by an officer from Kensington and Chelsea Council.
Aldridge, who owns Cityscope Developments, admitted a charge under Section 115(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £250 costs.
Councillor Daniel Moylan, Deputy Leader of the Council, said: "I know that our fraud team have been concerned about Mr Aldridge for a couple of years and have been monitoring the situation.
"People trying to apply fraudulently for resident parking permits should be aware that our fraud team constantly monitor applications and will take action when it becomes clear that a permit has been obtained or is being used fraudulently."
