Construction Minister Revealed

Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform has confirmed Shriti Vadera will be taking over from Stephen Timms.

Baroness Vadera will have responsibility for construction, the Department has confirmed and her new title is Business and Competitiveness Minister. She will cover construction as part of her portfolio.

Mr Timms left his post as Construction Minister after six months to join the Department for Work and Pensions as minister of state for employment and welfare reform.

Baroness Vadera becomes the seventh construction minister following Nick Raynsford departure in 2001.
