As part of the continuing program of capital investment in the highway infrastructure, North Somerset Council will be carrying out works on the B3124 Holly Lane/Castle Road, Clevedon from 22 October.
The carriageway will be resurfaced from the junction with Walton Road thought to the junction with Bay Road.
These works are programmed to last two weeks starting on 22 October. However due to the narrowness of the road it will be necessary to close the road to through traffic. A signed diversion will be in operation.
Reasonable access to properties and business will be maintained and site staff will be available on site should any problems arise. In addition works have been timed around school holidays to try to minimise disruption and inconvenience.
Cllr ElfanAp Rees, Deputy Leader of North Somerset Council with responsibility for highways, said: "We apologise for any delays and disruption caused by this resurfacing but it is well overdue and is part of the high priority put on highways maintenance by the Conservative administration since the May elections."
The work will be carried out be Ringway Infrastructure Services Ltd on behalf of the council.
