Marshalls plc, the UK’s leading hard landscaping manufacturer, has launched a new hybrid safety paving - PlayPave. Blending the robustness and durability of a Marshalls’ concrete paving slab with a 25mm top layer of rubber, the company has created the perfect solution for a safe protective surface that requires no costly specialist installation or maintenance processes throughout its lifecycle.
The new Marshalls PlayPave range is available in a myriad of exciting and vibrant colours to stimulate children’s sensory experiences. It is supported by a suite of standard graphic packages including hopscotch, shapes, numbers and letters to encourage outdoor learning opportunities and promote physical exercise; a series of the graphics support the Government’s 5-A-Day campaign. The images of food can then be incorporated into an exciting, creative outdoor learning activity promoting healthy eating along with play.
Marshalls PlayPave range includes a bespoke graphics service. This enables Clients to create a tailor-made innovative surface design to complement their scheme. PlayPave can also be shaped (to order) to fit around play equipment and street furniture to ensure a clean, aesthetic installation.
Supplied initially in a 450x450x57mm plan size with a chamfered edge, installing PlayPave is no different to any traditional paving flag method. This method negates the need for a specialist protective surface installation company and drives down the cost especially on colour heavy schemes.
PlayPave is available in three unique propositions: Smooth – for the functional application; Textured – that creates a richer deep surface aesthetic and Flecked - a vibrant multicolour textured surface.
