With a record order book, and further planned growth, Maxi Construction, part of the Scottish based haulage, construction and property development Maxi Group of companies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Simpson as Construction Director.
Barry, who joined the Maxi Team during April, commenced his career in construction as a sponsored student in the late eighties training as a site engineer in summer placements, whilst studying at Heriot Watt University. He has to date worked predominantly in the central belt of Scotland on a variety of new build and refurbishment construction projects and more recently in housing refurbishment.
He will assist the Managing Director, John Aitchison in ensuring that Clients’ expectations for quality, service and efficiency are exceeded.
Barry is a successful and highly motivated individual with a wealth of educational training and work experience.
Barry commented: “I am delighted to be a part of the Maxi team. There’s a great deal of in-house experience evident and it is clear to me that everyone is keen to move the company onwards and upwards. I am looking forward to being able to contribute to this process.
Since his appointment as Managing Director, last year, John has built a strong team, so with the high level of staff and employee expertise, energy and commitment I have seen, I expect that we’ll build further on our reputation by consistently exceeding our Client’s expectations. This will help us to secure future works through repeat business and help build partnerships to ensure a bright future.”
