G&H has secured two new decarbonisation projects after being appointed by Centrica Business Solutions to support energy infrastructure upgrades at two NHS hospitals.
The Leeds-headquartered building engineering specialist will work alongside international energy and services provider Centrica Business Solutions on projects at Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham and Hereford County Hospital in Hereford. The schemes form part of wider efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency across healthcare estates.
Drawing on its experience in the healthcare sector, G&H will deliver mechanical and electrical works to plant rooms within Heartlands Hospital’s energy centre, as well as a dedicated plant room at Hereford County Hospital.
Commenting on the appointments, Richard Tandy, head of projects at Centrica Business Solutions, said: "We're committed to delivering scalable bespoke energy solutions that allow organisations to reach their sustainability goals, as well as reducing their overall energy costs. G&H’s mechanical and electrical expertise, combined with Centrica Business Solutions' capabilities in large-scale onsite, behind-the-meter energy solutions, will enable these organisations to progress towards a greener, fairer future."
James Sherburn, Director at G&H, highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two companies. "It's been over a decade since we started working with Centrica, and the relationship we've established means our teams work seamlessly together to deliver energy-efficient projects.
"Our continued success is testament to the strong partnership we have established and the vast experience we bring to all our projects. We’re looking forward to working with Centrica to deliver these schemes and supporting their client's decarbonisation targets."
