Vistry And Platform Seal Deal For 213 Affordable Homes At Boulton Moor

Vistry has agreed a major contract with Platform, one of the Midlands' largest housing associations, to deliver 213 affordable homes within its Boulton Moor development in Derby.

The affordable homes sit within a wider plan for 526 properties across a 47-acre site, aimed at boosting local housing supply.

The scheme will provide a range of tenures, combining affordable homes with private rented sector (PRS) properties and homes for sale on the open market. A play area for younger residents is also planned to help foster a vibrant, inclusive neighbourhood.

Dave Bradley, Managing Director of Vistry North Midlands, said: "This contract with Platform marks a major milestone in our commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable homes in Derby. We are proud to be working with Platform Homes to bring forward a blend of affordable, PRS, and private homes, designed to meet the needs of the local community and support the city's growth."

Kate Ellison, Director of Growth and Innovation at Platform said: "Platform is committed to being a leading delivery partner across the Midlands, and schemes like Boulton Moor show the scale at which we can help bring forward high-quality affordable places for people to call home. Working with Vistry on this important development allows us to accelerate much-needed housing in the area and contribute to a well-designed place that will serve the community for generations."

This project represents the third phase of Derby's Strategic Urban Extension, which will ultimately create a 2,600-home village featuring schools, shops, a care home, businesses, a transport hub and electric vehicle charging points. Planning consent was granted in May 2025, with construction scheduled to begin in 2026.
