Prosper, a leading procurement consultancy, has announced the launch of its New Build Development Framework, appointing a total of 22 firms.
This four-year, multi-supplier framework, which became active this week, is set to deliver a wide range of construction works and associated services, including design, across England and Wales.
Developed in close collaboration with landlord partners believe housing, Gentoo, and Karbon Homes, the framework leverages the extensive experience and expertise of their development teams. While primarily intended for new build residential developments, its scope is broad, also covering new build, refurbishment, and renovations, as well as extensions and improvements to housing, commercial buildings, community and civic buildings, education establishments, and healthcare facilities.
The new framework is structured across twelve Lots and ten geographical regions: the North East, Yorkshire and The Humber, North West, West Midlands, East Midlands, East of England, South East, South West, London, and Wales. Rebecca Griggs, Head of Procurement at Prosper, stated: “It was great to work with representatives from the development teams at believe housing, Gentoo and Karbon to undertake the tender evaluation, as they provided extra knowledge and experience to ensure the process was robust.”
Ms Griggs emphasised the framework's alignment with government priorities for new home building, noting that "the aim of this framework is to build new homes and give our partners greater procurement opportunities across the UK." She expressed anticipation for collaborative work with the newly appointed contractor partners. The framework offers flexibility in call-off methods, allowing for either further competition or direct award.
