A range of professional service providers have also been secured across several consultancy lots, including architecture, engineering, employer’s and purchaser’s agents, clerks of work, and principal designers.

Architectural appointments went to Arcus Consulting LLP, Bowker Sadler Partnership, BTP Architects, Buttress Architects, Halsall Lloyd LLP, Jennings Design Associates, John McCall Architects, Levitt Bernstein Associates Ltd, Pozzoni Architecture, and Studio KMA Ltd.

Ten firms were named to the employer’s agent lot: Arcus Consulting LLP, CPC Project Services LLP, Drees & Sommer, Gateley Vinden, Identity Consult, Markhams, Neo Projects Ltd, Poole Dick Associates, WhiteleyEaves Ltd, and Wilkinson Cowan Partnership Ltd.

Purchaser agents appointed include Arcus Consulting LLP, CPC Project Services LLP, Drees & Sommer, Neo Projects Ltd, Tetra Tech Ltd, and Wilkinson Cowan Partnership Ltd.

Six engineering consultancies were selected: Alan Johnston Partnership Ltd, Curtins Consulting Ltd, HBL Associates, Rodgers Leask Ltd, Shape Consulting Engineers, and Sutcliffe Projects Ltd.

For the clerk of works services, Amrin Resources Ltd, Markhams, Michael Dyson Associates Ltd, WhiteleyEaves Ltd, Wilkinson Cowan Partnership Ltd and WSP UK Ltd were chosen.

Principal designer services will be provided by eight firms: Airey Miller Ltd, Anderton Gables Ltd, Arcus Consulting LLP, Keelagher Okey Associates Ltd, Markhams, Poole Dick Associates, Vista Consulting Group Ltd and Wilkinson Cowan Partnership Ltd.

For the first time, JV North also procured principal designers specifically for Building Regulations. Firms appointed in this new lot include Airey Miller Ltd, Arcus Consulting LLP, Baily Garner, Bowker Sadler Partnership Ltd, BTP Architects, John McCall Architects, Kartar Consulting, Keelagher Okey Associates Ltd and Vista Consulting Group Ltd.

Commenting on the appointments, JV North Chair John Bowker said: "Consultants and contractors play an intrinsic part in our success as a consortium, having helped us build over 10,000 homes since forming.

"So we are really pleased with the quality and quantity of tenders received in what is our fourth framework and would like to thank everyone who applied. Competition was fierce with lots heavily oversubscribed.

"JV North is built on the strong foundation of partnership working returning better outcomes and this is certainly the case with our framework where contractors and consultants will help us build 3,000 homes at pace to meet the growing demand for housing across the North West."

The framework was led by Saffer Cooper Consultancy, which manages JV North's development programme, with support from Plus Dane Housing's procurement team and legal support from international law firm Trowers & Hamlins.
