Persimmon Homes Lancashire has announced the appointment of Nigel Jackson as its new Regional Apprentice Manager, overseeing apprenticeship activity across Lancashire and Cumbria.

Bringing more than 17 years of experience in apprenticeship support, Nigel joins Persimmon from West Lancashire College, where he previously served as Apprenticeships Curriculum Manager. In his new role, he will be responsible for enhancing the delivery and development of the housebuilder's regional apprenticeship programme.

Persimmon Lancashire currently employs 40 apprentices across a variety of disciplines, including Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and Trainee Assistant Site Management.

Each apprentice is supported through a comprehensive development framework, which includes an assigned on-site mentor and enrolment with a local college to gain their formal qualifications. The company collaborates with a range of training providers, including colleges and universities, and offers T-Level industry placements at various development sites.
