Galliford Try has won a £47.5m contract from Thames Water to deliver the Camberley Sewage Treatment Works (STW) Flow Compliance scheme, aimed at improving performance, strengthening resilience and ensuring environmental compliance at the facility.

The programme will boost flows through the inlet works, primary settlement tanks and storm protection tanks. Unused tanks will be reconfigured to provide extra storm storage, with the installation of new motor control centres, generators and pumping stations, as well as extensive above- and below-ground pipework.

Following successful early contractor involvement, the company's Environment business Engineering team produced the outline design and has progressed into detailed design, underlining the breadth of in-house engineering, design and delivery expertise brought together to secure the best outcomes for the client.
