MCI Developments And MSV To Build 44 Affordable Homes In Rawtenstall

Construction News Image

MCI Developments, a subsidiary of Keepmoat, is set to deliver 44 affordable homes off Hardman Avenue in Rawtenstall in partnership with Mosscare St Vincent's Housing Group (MSV).

The scheme, approved in full by Rossendale Borough Council earlier this year, will provide a mix of one, two and three-bedroom properties on the site of a disused former residential farm building.

Representing an investment of more than £10 million by the partners, the new homes will be constructed to a high fabric standard with an EPC A rating and will be let by MSV as social rent.

Jamie Irving, Land & Partnerships Director at MCI Developments said: "We're excited to announce MSV as our affordable partner to create a fantastic new scheme in Rawtenstall, representing a significant investment in the area.

"At MCI Developments, we're committed to working with a range of partners to deliver remarkable schemes together with high-quality new homes. We're looking forward to progressing the approved plans and delivering 44 new homes to benefit the local community."

MSV Housing Group is a not-for-profit housing association based in Greater Manchester, created in 2018 following the merger of Mosscare Housing Group and St Vincent's Housing Association.

Stuart Smallman, Head of Growth - Programme, Partnerships & Sales at MSV Housing Group added: "As a Registered Provider with ambitious growth targets, it is fantastic for MSV to acquire this land and be in contract to deliver these social rent properties in Rossendale.

"The location, range of accommodation, site layout, and high fabric specification is expected to deliver highly popular social rented homes for our customers, which will help to satisfy an ever-growing need for housing that is affordable, safe, and secure.

"Partnering with MCI Developments to deliver this site, alongside grant assistance from Homes England and the co-operation and support of Rossendale Borough Council, this development is set to be a great success and will further cement MSV's presence in the area."

MCI Developments is a North West-based developer working with registered providers and local authorities to deliver quality new homes. For more information, visit www.mcidevelopments.com/home.
