The highly anticipated UK Construction Week (UKCW) has officially kicked off at the NEC Birmingham, running from October 1st to 3rd.

The event is a bustling hub for construction professionals, offering three action-packed days featuring the latest innovations, products and discussions from across the industry.

This year's UKCW brings together six shows under one roof, showcasing a comprehensive A-Z of construction expertise. For the first time in Birmingham, Live Demos will be a key attraction, offering hands-on displays of the latest tools and techniques. In addition, the Construction Leadership Council is using the event to launch their new Construct Zero Performance Framework, aimed at advancing sustainability in the sector.

Exhibitors include major industry players such as JCB, Speedy Hire, 3M, and SIG, making UKCW an unparalleled opportunity to discover cutting-edge products and services. Attendees are also invited to the Finditin Big Buyers Lounge, where they can network with procurement professionals from top firms like BAM, Equans, Galliford Try, Morgan Sindall, and Vinci. This is an invaluable chance for suppliers to connect with industry leaders.

One of the biggest highlights this year is the Onsite On Hire showcase, featuring the latest tools and compact plant equipment aimed at delivering sustainable solutions. Industry giants such as Speedy Hire, JCB and Makita are on hand to present the newest innovations in equipment hire.

In a significant first, the Roofing, Cladding & Insulation Expo will debut at UKCW 2024. This dedicated area will feature market-leading manufacturers such as Insulfix, Easy-Trim, Frénéhard, Bové and more, presenting the latest materials and techniques in roofing and insulation.

Sustainability is a major focus this year, with the Net Zero Trail guiding visitors to the Net Zero Hub, sponsored by Reconomy. Attendees can pick up a map to explore the trail and attend the National Retrofit Hub takeover on October 2nd, which is set to highlight innovations in sustainable construction practices.

Professionals attending the event can also take advantage of free continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities. By scanning a QR code at various seminar theatres, visitors can earn points toward their professional development as part of the Earn as You Learn initiative.

With over 300 exhibitors from across the construction sector, including Kingspan, Milwaukee, SWISSPEARL and many more, UKCW Birmingham offers an unmatched opportunity to connect with a wide range of suppliers and experts.

Attendees benefit from access to six shows under one ticket, covering areas such as Infrastructure, Roofing Cladding and Insulation Expo, Build X, Net Zero, Digital Construction, and Onsite On Hire.
