Jackson has scooped a £6.4m deal to develop infrastructure for a major mixed-used development in East Anglia.
Gateway 14 Ltd, working with its development manager Jaynic, awarded the contract for the 2.36m sq ft development project adjacent to Junction 50 of the A14 at Stowmarket in Suffolk.
Works on the Gateway 14 project will include building a new main road, footpaths and cycle paths, as well as installation of services.
Significant milestone
Construction director at Jaynic, Jason Newman, said: "The letting of this infrastructure contract is a significant milestone in our involvement at Gateway 14 and we very much look forward to the progression of these works over the coming months as the business park starts to take shape."
Jackson will start on site at the end of April and is expected to complete the project within 12 months. The development of the infrastructure at Gateway 14 has been registered with the Considerate Constructor Scheme and will be managed carefully to mitigate impact while works are underway.
