Interserve Construction is continuing its success in the healthcare sector with a new multi-million pound contract.
The firm has been appointed to deliver an £11.5 million Day Surgery and Out Patients scheme for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Under the contract, new day case theatres and Ophthalmology services at the Chorley and South Ribble Hospital will be provided, giving patients with choice of location and access to state-of-the-art facilities as well as increasing theatre capacity on the site.
The contract follows Interserve Construction's appointment as the principle supply chain partner (PSCP) for the scheme as part of ProCure22 (P22), the Construction Procurement Framework administrated by the Department of Health & Social Care for the development and delivery of NHS and social care capital schemes in England.
Phil Shaw, Divisional Director at Interserve Construction, said: "Interserve Construction's appointment as the PSCP on this project is a real testament to the expertise within our team and our excellent track record in delivering some of the best NHS facilities in the UK where have demonstrated our capabilities on major landmark projects including the Christies Proton Beam Therapy in Manchester and the Rutherford Cancer Centre in Liverpool."
Work will begin on the project in July with completion expected in October 2021.
