Hanson Cement Names New National Commercial Director

UK firm Hanson Cement has announced a new major addition to its executive team.

Andy Murphy joins the company as national commercial director, where he will assume commercial responsibility for the cement division as well as Hanson's major projects and commercial excellence teams. He will report directly to CEO Simon Willis.

He brings a heap of experience in senior sales and marketing roles in the construction sector to Hanson, working at Lafarge Tarmac, Jewson and building materials supplier SIG Distribution.

Commenting on his appointment Simon Willis said: "I am delighted to welcome Andy to the executive team. He brings a wealth of industry experience and will help us drive our key strategic objective of placing our customers at the centre of our business."

Andy added: "It's an exciting time to join Hanson UK and I'm looking forward to working with teams from across the business to continue the company's customer-first focus to strengthen relationships."
