Aggregate Industries has completed the acquisition of fellow aggregates and ready-mix concrete manufacturer, Kendall Group.

The deal will allow Aggregate Industries, which is part of the LafargeHolcim Group, to expand its operations in the South of England, as well as enabling it to enter the dredging business.

In 2017, Kendall generated net sales of around £25 million.

François Pétry, Chief Executive Officer of Aggregate, said: "The Kendall Group perfectly complements our existing activities, both in the geography of its operations and its product offering. The company has a great track record, employs great people and shares our dedication to providing our customers with high quality products and services."

Richard Kendall, Director of Kendall Group, added: "The Kendall Group has always been a family-run business. It was very important to us to find a company to take over Kendall's who would take care of the both the business and the people we have nurtured for almost 100 years. I believe that we found this in Aggregate Industries and I look forward to watching the Kendall Group continue to flourish under their ownership."
