Leeds City Council has started the hunt for a contractor to deliver its £116 million East Leeds Orbital Road (ELOR) project.
Tender documents for the development have been published and the deadline for interested companies is Wednesday, 21 December.
The project will be broken down into three phases; A6120 Outer Ring Road – Advance Junction Improvements, the main ELOR Works and Improvements/Enhancements to the A6120 Outer Ring Road.
The new 7.5km dual carriageway will provide the capacity to support increased traffic from allocated development in the East Leeds Extension, as well as relieving congestion on the existing network.
The scheme, which is being funded by the West Yorkshire Plus Transport Fund and developers, will start construction in spring 2018 with completion scheduled for 2021.
