Network Rail has completed a flood alleviation project in Yorkshire.
Engineers have installed new pumps and pipes at Goole subway to reduce the risk of flooding at the site.
The scheme will create a more reliable method of pumping water out of the subway system and make the system more resilient, which will further reduce the risk of flooding.
In addition, the new system can send an alarm to the Network Rail control centre in York if any issues arise.
Matthew Shelton, senior asset engineer at Network Rail, said: "We know that flooding of the subway in Goole has been an issue for residents and we hope the new pumps will reduce the risk of flooding.
"We would like to thank all users of the subway for their patience whilst this project was carried out."
