Deans Blinds Wins Investors In People Standard

Deans Blinds and Awnings UK Ltd have once again been awarded the coveted Investors In People Standard.

Investors in People is the UK's Gold Standard Award for employers who support and encourage their employees to reach the very best of their potential but companies who aspire to maintain the standard must be prepared to be to be audited every three years.

In Deans Blinds case, they first qualified for the standard in 1993 and have been successfully re-assessed no less than seven times. One effect of applying the Investors in People standard has been in staff retention – with an average length of service of over 18 years across 30- staff members this speaks for itself; especially when you consider the last three new employees joined less those 12-months ago.

The Managing Director of Deans said "many organisations say that their greatest asset is their staff but the Investors in People standard is the only way to prove to the outside word that this claim is more than just words".

Gill Atmeare, Senior Assessor at Investors in People, said in her report:

"Retaining core accreditation when the business is constantly changing is a huge achievement and it is a clear reflection of the importance that you place on the principles of the Investors in People Framework in supporting your business objectives."
