Nikal Submits Plans For £70m Development

Developer Nikal has submitted a planning application for the first phase of its development in Greater Manchester.

The £70m 'Altair' project is a 4.5 acre mixed-use scheme located in Altrincham Town Centre.

Phase one plans include the development of an iconic building marking the gateway to Altair.

The building will comprise of 59 one and two bedroom apartments, with leisure retail space on the lower floors.

Other features of the project include a new entrance for the ice rink and new landscaped public realm with outside seating for a café.

Hillcrest Homes will deliver the phase one building alongside the main contractor Eric Wright Construction.

Work is due to begin in spring 2016.
