Stroma Group has completed the acquisition of multidisciplinary Building Control service provider, Greendoor Building Control & Specialist Services Limited ("Greendoor"). Greendoor have provided market leading support to their clients in the Building Control sector for more than 12 years, and the acquisition further strengthens Stroma's expertise within the built environment.
The experience, expertise and national coverage brought to the Stroma Group by Greendoor will form the basis of a new Building Control division to operate alongside the existing divisions: Stroma Certification, Stroma Technology and Stroma Software.
The addition of Greendoor marks Stroma's first major acquisition since the management buyout of the Stroma Group in 2014. LDC (the investment division of Lloyds Banking Group) supported the management buyout and is committed to help the management team develop a market leading organisation in this sector.
Greendoor have successfully grown their revenues and client base for more than a decade, spearheaded by Managing Director Steve Lonsdale. Steve has over 20 years experience in Building Control and has cultivated a reputation for providing a high quality, proactive service to clients. Greendoor have an impressive portfolio of experience including both domestic and large scale commercial projects. They deliver services to an eclectic client base including homeowners, architectural practices, surveyors, landlords and agents.
Stroma is a leading authority on building, sustainability and compliance. Based in Yorkshire, the Group has a turnover approaching £15M and employs more than 250 staff. Stroma work across the built environment specialising in the certification, compliance and energy sectors. They have also more recently expanded to provide unique, innovative software solutions for mobile workers. A dedicated in-house software development team provides flexible solutions which both complement Stroma's existing expertise and drive expansion into new markets.
