Plans Submitted For Development In Oxford

Architect company Make has submitted a design plan for a bioscience and medical research hub for the University of Oxford.

The 16,000m2 Oxford BioEscalator development is Make's sixth project for the University and will be developed at the institutions Old Road Campus.

The building will incorporate a public cafe, gym, a range of meeting spaces and multi-storey car park for 456 cars.

A delivery and waste consolidation centre will also be developed.

Justin Nicholls, Make partner and Lead Project Architect, said: "This new social, cultural and functional hub, incorporating a world-leading innovation centre, will help drive forward discoveries in medical science by providing a focal point for interaction between researchers, clinicians and entrepreneurs, right in the heart of one of the world’s largest medical research facilities."
