Mott MacDonald has been appointed as lead consultant on a regeneration project by the London Borough of Croydon.
The consultancy will provide the overall design for the project along with sub-consultants Rick Mather and Turley providing architectural and planning services.
The redevelopment project will include a refurbishment of the arts, entertainment and conference centre Fairfield Halls.
Refurbishment works include a new foyer space with a frontage onto College Green, a complete mechanical and electrical refit, improved disabled access and provision of new refreshment services.
For the wider development project of Croydon's cultural quarter, Mott MacDonald will provide civil, structural, building services, acoustic and fire engineering services along with project management and cost consultancy.
Project Director for Mott MacDonald Paul Bates said: "This is a wonderful opportunity on so many levels.
"As a locally based company, the regeneration of Croydon’s cultural quarter is of huge significance to so many of us who live and work in the town."
