A new housing development in Newton is now complete.
Circle Housing Roddons partnered with contractor Burmor Construction to build the two- and three-bedroom houses and chalet bungalows on the rural exception site.
The first phase of the development has been completed in time for Housing Day today, 12 November, which aims to celebrate the positive impact of social housing on thousands of people across the UK.
Members of Newton Parish Council marked the first phase of completion ahead of a formal opening on 24 November. To qualify for a rural connection, applicants had to have an active housing application, have either been living or working within the parish for at least one year, have a strong family connection to the parish or have previously been a resident.
The new homes have all been installed with solar panels which will significantly reduce residents' utility bills. All properties have a paved driveway for parking, gardens and built in units throughout for extra storage.
