Peterborough council is inviting local firms to its 'Meet the Buyer' event on on Monday 22 September st the town hall.
The council is launching a major scheme to provide energy efficiency measures such as solid wall insulation, replacement boilers, replacement double glazing, cavity wall insulation and loft insulation in homes across Peterborough.
To ensure local businesses benefit from this scheme the council is inviting accredited installers, scaffolders, fabricators and electricians to register their interest in being sub-contractors to the primary contractors, EON and Mark Group.
To fund the scheme the council has secured £4 million of Government ‘Green Deal Communities’ funding to subsidise energy efficiency home improvements to a large number of homes around the city centre. When combined with funding secured under the Energy Company Obligation and customer Green Deal Plans, the total comes to more than £13 million.
