95 construction managers have been shortlisted to compete at the Chartered Institute of Building's (CIOB) Construction Manager of the Year Awards (CMYA) at the final in October.

Finalists are drawn from a diverse mixture of projects from new build and refurbishment below £2m to large scale projects over £80m. Gold and silver medals are awarded across 11 categories before an overall winner is announced from the 11 gold medallists.

Chris Blythe, Chief Executive of the CIOB, said: "CMYA is the only event of its kind to assess the pivotal role that construction managers play in bringing teams and stakeholders together. It offers a snapshot of the fantastic work that's going on in the industry from retail to housing to large scale public services and rejuvenation projects we have taking place. The range of projects and the standards of entry are rising every year and this is testament to the professionalism of the construction industry as a whole."

Winners and medallists will be announced on Thursday 30 October 2014 at a gala evening at the Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel.
