Eric Wright Construction has completed an £8.2m multi-phase refurbishment project to transform Unity Academy in Blackpool.
Located on Warbreck Hill Road, the Academy provides high-quality teaching and learning for children aged four to 16, covering all curriculum subjects.
With the key aim being to create a new and inspiring learning environment, pupils will now be able to take advantage of the upgraded classrooms, enhanced dining and kitchen facilities and bespoke resource areas.
As well as adding essential study areas, the project has also extended the Academy's offering with the addition of a dance studio, gym and an extension to the drama hall.
The science laboratories and hair and beauty teaching rooms have also been transformed from the refurbishment programme, whilst landscaping to all outdoor play areas has also enhanced the Academy's external appearance.
Chris Lickiss, Principal at Unity Academy, said: "We are delighted with the outcome in all aspects of the project which strongly supports our drive to improve and significantly raise standards. This transformation of our learning environment will help us equip our young people with the attitudes, skills and knowledge that they will need to lead successful lives. The outcomes of the partnership between EWC and ourselves very much reiterates our school mission that "In Unity, we succeed"."
