Following its appointment to the Education Funding Agency's Framework, Bowmer & Kirkland (B&K) has now been named the successful bidder for a batch of Derby schools.
Under the Priority School Building Programme, which addresses the needs of schools in most urgent need of repair, B&K will be undertaking projects at six city schools with a total value of £29m.
The schools are: Asterdale Primary, Carlyle Infant School, Cavendish Close Junior School, Chaddesden Park Primary, Reigate Primary and Allestree Woodlands Academy.
Bowmer & Kirkland Chairman, John Kirkland, said: "I am absolutely delighted that we have been awarded this first batch of schools in Derby – particularly as this was our first bid for projects through this framework.
"This success is thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff. I am particularly pleased that it will be Bowmer & Kirkland helping to improve the facilities and school lives for many of our local children."
The projects are new-build replacements for existing schools and they will all start together this summer.
