Over two days Balfour Beatty's West Midlands office opened its door to more than 100 pupils from Monkspath Junior and Infant School, Mill Lodge Primary School, Marston Green Junior School and Balsall Common Primary School, giving them first-hand experience of the industry through a variety of interactive taster demonstrations. T


he year six students, aged between 10 and 11 years, were able to try their hand at plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, bricklaying, plastering and learn more about various items of plant machinery.

Howard Rose, Funding & Publicity Manager at Balsall Common Primary School, said: "This was a fantastic opportunity for younger children to get practical hands-on experience of working in the construction industry. Balsall Common Primary School aims to provide pupils with a diverse range of experiences in order to prepare them better for the future and we are most grateful to Balfour Beatty for this support."
