Playrite has announced its surfaces have benn installed at County Upper School, Bury St Edmunds.

The school not only has a great community spirit and outstanding Ofsted report but it also holds the new 'Sport quality mark with distinction'.

The sport quality mark celebrates success in the strength and quality of physical education and sport within a school. So for a school that prides itself on its great sporting prowess there was only one natural choice when looking for a surface to complement their existing sports offering.


Playrite were able to offer impartial advice and guidance on surfacing suitability and with over 20 years’ experience of manufacturing quality sports surfaces in the UK to the highest of standards were able to advise the school on their requirements.

The refurbishment of the two 5-a-side areas was carried out by Eastern Facilities Management Services using Playrite's Conqueror 50, 3G turf. Steve Byrnes from Playrite working closely alongside Jez Ansty from Eastern Facilities Management, took into account the needs and usage of the pitches to source the very best solution.

Since installation the facility has been used by the school and community for on average 12 hours a day, meeting all parties needs and the highest approval from County Upper School.
