Bellway has announced a 103-home development on the site of the former Princess Royal Hospital on Saltshouse Road, Hull.
Princess Royal Park will feature a mix of three-bedroom semi-detached homes and three and four-bedroom detached homes, with prices due to be announced ahead of the company's sales team moving on-site in August.
Melanie Smith, Bellway's Yorkshire sales manager, said: "The interest we've already had in Princess Royal Park has been incredible. We normally expect the phone to start ringing as soon as the first coming soon board goes up on a new site, but in this case it hasn't stopped – we've already had over 250 customers who have called to register their interest."
Princess Royal Park will see new life breathed back into the 17-acre site that has remained unused since the closure of the Princess Royal Hospital in 2008. The homes, which will be bordered by meadowland to the east and established residential areas to the north, will sit within landscaped areas that feature mature trees, and are being built to a traditional design and elevation.
"It really does have everything a new site could offer – great houses, a great location, excellent amenities, including a golf course, on the doorstep, and easy access to the city centre," continued Melanie.
Princess Royal Park is Bellway's first development in Hull for close to a decade. The Wetherby-based company first made its name in the city when it redeveloped Victoria Dock during the late 1980s and 90s and later Sutton Links.
