When a UK based high security defence establishment needed to replace existing and install new gates at different locations, they turned to perimeter security specialists, Cova Security Gates, to propose the best solution to meet their specific needs.
The brief was to provide tested but discreet security gates which could withstand potential unauthorised vehicle-borne attempts to enter or compromise the site, providing the highest level of security, whilst having the ability to be manufactured to blend within the existing site perimeter line.
Cova Security Gates identified their Bi Folding Speed Gate as being the most suitable product, having successfully undergone PAS 68: 2010 testing. This can be interfaced with a wide range of control options.
To establish suitability, a site visit to an existing installation was arranged to allow the client to observe insitu operational product. Following a successful visit, the formal decision was made to go ahead with the project, and the client ordered crash tested gates.
As part of this project, Cova also supplied other PAS rated and standard products, so that the client has an integrated solution, which can be supported by one organisation in a seamless manner.
