E.ON Supports Big Energy Week

In support of Big Energy Week E.ON, one of the UK's leading energy companies, backs up its commitment to helping the most vulnerable UK households by offering free insulation, and £100 to help with winter energy costs, as well as practical advice on other ways to control bills through its dedicated support team.

Energy efficiency is one of the most effective and sustainable ways of tacking fuel poverty and is a long term way of helping people who are struggling to heat their homes. The new offer of free cavity wall and standard loft insulation, plus a cheque for £100, is available to anyone in receipt of Child Tax Credit where their annual household income is less than £16,190 or to anyone claiming Pension Credit.

David Bird, Customer Operations Director at E.ON, said: "We're delighted to support The Big Energy Week, every day of the year our teams up and down the country are taking calls, making calls and visiting customers to offer not just words of advice by real help that can make a big difference to their wallets.

"We're committed to helping our customers get energy fit and this free insulation offer is a great example of how taking a few simple steps, we can work together with consumers to help control their energy bills as well as offering £100 to help them heat their homes this winter."

The offer is open to anyone who fits the criteria - whether they are an E.ON customer or not - and E.ON estimates that over 700,000 households could benefit.
