Ever-increasing energy bills could be a thing of the past for householders in Cornwall who invest in renewable energy technology.
In the past two weeks energy providers have announced double digit increases in the price of electricity and gas to domestic users.
Cornwall Council is offering householders the chance to find out more about all aspects or renewable energy technology and which approach would be best suited for each individual or community.
The Cornwall Renewable Energy Show being held at the former Gaia Centre at Delabole will feature the latest technology available to householders and communities.
On Friday 29 July the show is free of charge and is aimed at householders and community groups, with organisations such as Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network explaining their hopes and ambitions while developers will explain a host of renewable energy technologies including solar, wind, biomass, hydro and ground source heat.
Julian German, Cornwall Council Cabinet Member for Environment, said: "There are fantastic opportunities out there for people to reduce their energy costs drastically - firstly by conserving energy and secondly by using renewable technology to produce energy.
"Householders and communities in Cornwall are supremely well placed to take advantage of renewable energy and we have brought together the very best people to give advice on how to do this.
"The event on Friday is free to all and I would urge as many people as possible to come along and find out more about how they can save money for themselves and their communities.
