The event at BACA proved a huge success The Kier Longley stand at a Build East Sussex exhibition, held at the Brighton and Aldridge Community Academy (BACA) recently, proved a huge success with local visitors.
As part of its commitment to the communities in which it works, Kier Longley is a member of Build East Sussex, a construction supply chain network led by East Sussex County Council and Brighton and Hove City Council, which provides information and support to both buyers and suppliers across the region.
Through its partnership with local public sector organisations, main contractors and business support organisations, Build East Sussex brings together a range clients and work opportunities available through their construction supply chains and a wealth of services and support for people, businesses, the environment and the economy in the area.
The event held at BACA, where Kier Longley is currently constructing a multi-million pound new academy building, was one such opportunity to share expertise and knowledge as well as job opportunities within the local construction sector. Kier Longley’s stand was one of many hosted by local businesses showcasing what they had on offer to the local community and was visited by many.
Commenting on the success of the event, Kier Longley bid manager Paul Hildyard, said: "Kier is totally committed to supporting East Sussex based subcontractors and suppliers particularly in these demanding times. We attempt to ensure that the necessary skills and capacity are available within the region to deliver the future private and public sector construction programmes."
