Extraspace have launched their new 20ft x 8ft flat packed, man-portable, modular, stackable cabin in the UK.
Expandacom has all the benefits of a standard portable building including insulation and double glazed windows.
The assembly (which takes approx 1 hour) requires no special tools or cranes to complete, so the building can be situated in previously inaccessible locations simply be carrying the components to the recipient site.
Expandacom is also modular. Simply remove one wall, insert the linking kit, and build the next cabin next to it to form an open plan building.
Doors and windows can be sited anywhere in the building due to the unique panel wall system. The floor is pre-laid with heavy duty vinyl floor covering over cement particle board ensuring minimal work on site to get it operational. The strong steel chassis has a loading of 250 kg m2.
Expandacom is stackable and can be transported either flat-packed or assembled like a conventional cabin. Dismantling is simplicity itself, and all components fit neatly into the original Flatpack kit.
Expandacom is the latest addition to the Expanda Range, which includes a smaller cabin (Expandakabin), a storage container (Expandastore) and a hazardous materials store (Expandachem).
Already tested around the world in disaster relief situations, Extraspace are looking forward to a positive response from their customers and resellers here in the UK.
